Hi Friends!
We invite you to come out and enjoy some dinner and live, local music in celebrating Columbia Park at our annual Friends of Columbia Park general meeting on Thursday, June 8 at Columbia Cottage.
We’ll be serving delicious food and drink from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with some local musicians performing upbeat instrumental music.
The general meeting will begin at 7 p.m. with welcoming newly elected board members Rashae Burns and Mark Kirchmeier. We will hold elections for new board members and officers as part of the general meeting. There will also be information on how you can help plan park events, protect our majestic gardens and trees, and advocate for our playgrounds, ball fields and structures.
Now is the time to get involved in Friends of Columbia Park. If you are interested in joining the board and would like information before the June 8th meeting, please email [email protected].
Columbia Park is one of the absolute gems of our city’s nearly 100 parks. One of America’s most nationally renowned landscape architects, the Frederick Law Olmstead firm of New York City, helped design Columbia Park more than a century ago along with Portland’s other landmark parks, Washington and Laurelhurst parks.
